About Mike Over

A Coach Built From Experience, Not Trends

Mike's Story

My name is Mike Over, and for more than sixteen years I have worked in the health and performance industry helping men and women rebuild their bodies, restore their confidence, and create results that last.

I am the founder of Over-Achieve Fitness and Revive Systems. Throughout my career, I have coached thousands of clients, worked with collegiate and professional athletes, and built one of Pennsylvania’s most respected fitness facilities. My work has been featured in Men’s Health, Women’s Health, T-Nation, EliteFTS, STACK, The PTDC, SimpliFaster, and on ABC27 News. I hold multiple certifications through NASM, including CPT, CES, PES, GPT, and FNS, and have served as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level.

While credentials and features reflect professional achievement, they do not fully explain why I coach the way I do today. That perspective was shaped long before Revive Systems existed.

The Beginning

I grew up deeply involved in athletics and went on to become a three-sport athlete in high school before playing collegiate soccer at Virginia Wesleyan University. During that time, I pursued an Engineering degree while balancing full academic and athletic demands. I also developed a passion for endurance sports and began training seriously for triathlons.

However, my early years were not defined by confidence. As a teenager, I was small for my age and struggled with self-image and anxiety. Fitness became more than competition; it became a way to build strength, discipline, and self-belief.

That foundation would later prove critical

The Turning Point

While preparing for a professional-level triathlon qualifier, I was struck head-on by a pickup truck during a training ride. The accident resulted in extensive injuries, including torn ligaments in both knees, a fractured femur, shoulder labrum tears, and a concussion.

Over time, I underwent eight knee surgeries.

Doctors questioned whether I would ever return to running or squatting.

Rehabilitation became both a physical and mental battle. I learned how to train around injuries, how to rebuild movement patterns, and how to adapt when the body does not cooperate. That experience changed my understanding of performance. It forced me to study biomechanics, recovery, hormone function, and stress in ways I had never considered before.

It also redirected my career path.

I left my Engineering degree just four classes short of completion and committed fully to coaching.

Building Over-Achieve Fitness

I opened Over-Achieve Fitness with five hundred dollars and one month to make it sustainable. What began with a small group of members grew into a thriving facility serving hundreds of individuals over the course of more than a decade. At its peak, the gym expanded into 10,000 square feet and became one of South Central Pennsylvania’s top-rated facilities.

During those years, I coached people in person every day. I saw firsthand how stress, career pressure, family obligations, injuries, and inconsistent habits affected results. I also saw what worked when systems were applied correctly.

Over that time, I invested more than $500,000 into education, mentorship, certifications, and advanced learning in performance and metabolic health. I worked with collegiate athletes, professional athletes in the NFL and NHL, competitive fighters, and thousands of busy professionals seeking sustainable transformation. That decade of in-person coaching is the foundation of everything Revive Systems is built on.

A Shift in Perspective

After years of business ownership, long hours, and becoming a father, I experienced firsthand how chronic stress affects health. Despite understanding training and nutrition, I began seeing the impact of lifestyle strain on energy, recovery, and overall well-being.

Doctors evaluated countless possibilities, yet the underlying theme remained the same: stress.

This realization changed my approach. True health is not built through extremes. It is built through structure that supports the nervous system, hormones, metabolism, and recovery. You cannot simply train harder when your system is overloaded. You must build resilience.

Revive Systems Today

Revive Systems was created from lived experience, not trends. It integrates strength training, metabolic strategy, lifestyle design, and when appropriate, functional testing and deeper analysis.

The goal is not temporary weight loss. It is long-term structural change.

My work today focuses on helping career-driven men and women lose body fat, build lean muscle, improve hormone health, and maintain results without living in the gym. The emphasis is on sustainability, accountability, and data-driven adjustments rather than emotional decision-making.

I am also a follower of Christ and a father of two young children. I understand the reality of balancing work, family, and personal health. My coaching reflects that reality. It is designed for people who carry responsibility and still want to perform at a high level.

Why This Matters

Most people do not fail because they lack effort. They fail because they rely on motivation instead of structure.

My role is to help build that structure.

The approach behind Revive Systems isn’t built on flashy tactics or complicated rules.

It’s built on understanding how the body responds over time and creating a process people can realistically follow. Coaching is guided by structure, feedback, and ongoing conversation, not rigid plans that fall apart the moment life gets busy.
